Learn From Our African American Genealogy & History Webinars

The Center for Family History hosts popular African American-focused webinars about genealogy, African American History, and DNA testing. Enjoy our robust offerings of live and recorded webinars with national profile-level guests and speakers.

CFH features a webinar every third Saturday every month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST. The public can register for each webinar online for free – registration links are provided when each new webinar is announced. Alternatively, you can catch webinars in the CFH Conference Room at the IAAM (included with your admission price). You can ask questions whether you watch at home or in the CFH Conference Room.

Attend Our Intro to Genealogy Sessions

Are you interested in learning how to start your genealogy research journey for your family? Perhaps you would like to improve your research skills and knowledge. Or perhaps you’re interested in discovering new genealogy research resources and strategies. Our Introduction to Genealogy sessions cover genealogy’s importance and relevance to personal and cultural identity.

Join our staff every Tuesday through Friday in the CFH Conference Room at the Museum for our free in-house Introduction to Genealogy (included with the price of admission). Sessions are held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and seating is available on a first-come-first-served basis. Our goal is to provide visitors with takeaways, resources, strategies, and tips to get started on their research journey. We really hope we inspire you to start researching!
